Handcrafted Logs

Handcrafted Yellowstone Log Homes tell not only the story of our company, but indeed a much bigger story, that of true American Tradition, and individuality. Each handcrafted log is individually hand selected, notched, and hand hewed for an exact fit.

When every unique log is in place, the structure is inspected for it's workmanship, and aesthetic value.

Milled Logs

"Milled" is the term for logs that are cut by a machine to a uniform diameter, as opposed to handcrafted, which are logs that are cut by hand to fit together.

Most Yellowstone Log Home timbers are cut when they are dead, standing, and dry. When a log is dry, there is a much lower chance of unexpected cracking, and deformities.

Half Log Siding

Half logs are, in essence, a true Swedish coped log cut in half, lengthwise. Half logs provide the exact look of true full log homes, but can be used in many ways, both internally and externally.

Many people love the external look of a log home, but want regular, drywalled interior walls. With Half logs, this is possible!
